Who Else Wants To Be Safe?

It’s the long weekend and if you are like me, you are looking forward to enjoying it with friends and family.
Maybe you have plans to attend some of the activities in and around the city; maybe its the weekly escape
to the cottage or a long planned road trip with the kids.
If the cottage or a long road trip is the plan, before you head out, can I remind you to take a few minutes to
ensure your vehicle is in tip top condition. Afterall, the last thing you want is an unpleasant weekend because
something goes wrong.
Here are some things to consider:
1. Prep your vehicle. Have your mechanic do a check on the vehicle. Check the level of all fluids, belts, hoses, battery, tires (your spare one too) and your air-conditioning system. Don’t forget your emergency road kit.
2. Have your documents and records up-to-date. Ensure you have the most up-to-date insurance certificate in the vehicle, along with your licence and vehicle registration. Pay up outstanding traffic and parking tickets too.
3. Have your roadside assistance in place. It’s the last thing you want; stranded at the four corners of Nowhere.
Having access to a local tow service or mechanic will save you a lot of hassle and worry. That’s peace of mind.
Enjoy the long weekend, keep cool and be safe on the roads!
