Rob's Story

A beacon of honesty and integrity

When Robert (Rob) Yousefian decided to set up his own automotive repair shop in Mississauga in 1995, little did he know that it would take him on the journey of a lifetime.

As a youngster growing up in Azerbaijan, Rob had an early introduction to the business of auto repair- being the son of a mechanic. Rob would observe his father’s skill from the sideline with some interest; not sure if he wanted to pursue the car repair business.

Migrating to Canada as a teenager, in a strange new world, barely speaking a stitch of English except, “Hi, how are you” and “I am well”, Rob had to quickly assimilate, learn the language and make important choices for his studies.

After a few years working as a mechanic and immediately after the 1990’s recession, Rob felt the urge to take the plunge and venture out on his own.

The Choice

Armed with guts, a backbone of steel, experience in the field and the desire to treat each client with integrity and fairness, the doors of Autotex Service Centre in south Mississauga were opened in January of 1996 servicing both domestic and import vehicles of all makes and models.

From the ground up, Rob expertly built a solid team of highly trained and certified master mechanics, mechanics and service advisors, consistently improving processes and systems by embracing up-to-date technology. Autotex became a beacon of honesty and integrity as an independent car repair shop.

The Status

In 1999, the Government of Ontario accredited Autotex with the coveted Drive Clean and Repair designation – one of few car repair facilities in Mississauga licensed to administer both the Drive Clean and repair.

Later, Autotex Service Centre would become a NAPA AUTOPRO member; one of an elite group of independent auto repair shops under the NAPA AUTOPRO National Banner Program (a program open only to car repair shops of a certain size).

The Recognition

Throughout the years Autotex, as member of the NAPA AUTOPRO has consistently been awarded the J.D.Power & Associates Award for highest in customer satisfaction among automotive providers (includes dealers and other independent auto repair shops).

Today, Autotex continues to be committed to honesty, integrity and fairness to all its clients. As a full service maintenance and auto repair shop it is driven by ongoing training for all its mechanics, up to date equipment and diagnostic technology.
